2024 year in review

2024 year in review

As we look back on the year, we are full of gratitude. From expanding our physical footprint to launching new offerings, this year has been one for the books. We added another sweet baby boy to our crew and spent hundreds of hours at the warehouse. We worked on design projects between the hours of 9pm-2am (and did it with a smile). We have loads planned for the year ahead, but for now here are a few of our favourite 2024 moments…

Moving into our new warehouse

One of the biggest changes for us this year was the move to a much larger warehouse. At almost 11,000 square ft, we’re now one of the largest European antique stores in the Midwest. Our new spot has smooth floors (IYKYK) and will allow us to grow as needed. Plenty of space for new stock and right down the road from our favorite beach - the whole fam is happy.

Container number 6

Another milestone was the arrival of our 6th shipping container, four this year! Summer arrivals were bonkers, with two containers coming back to back. Luckily, Sam’s folks were here visiting from England that week and my family is always happy to help. For us, each container represents more than just stock. We hand-pick every piece ourselves, and knowing that our furniture will be loved many more years makes container days extra special. Thanks for trusting us to bring back the best of the best, and for sharing your passion for old things with us. It lights us up.

Antique buying trips

This year we took a big step towards fostering connection amongst fellow antique lovers. We launched the travel side of our business, and will be hosting our first trip in England in June. We’ll shop some of our favourite places to source antiques, spend time in the English countryside and soak up all of the culture that only pubs can offer.

Design projects

In addition to antiques, we’ve continued working on numerous design projects. Pole barns, short term rentals, additions and interiors all passed through our hands this year, and we’re looking forward to a busy 2025. If you are planning a renovation, need custom build plans or want some help styling your current space, we’d love to work with you. It’s never too early to chat!

Thank you with a capital T.
2024 has been big and we couldn’t have done any of it without you cheering us on. Every message, warehouse chat and friendship formed this year has filled our cups in ways we can never explain. This business is more than furniture or home design. It’s about connection and treasure hunting, creating spaces that feel just right and sparking joy every chance we get. We are seeing Sam’s family more than ever before, and showing our boys that anything is possible if you work hard and serve others well.

Grateful for another year,

Xx
