Antique drawers painted blue

This chest of drawers has a coat of soft blue-gray paint, and a darker blue line traces the edge of every drawer. There are two short drawers over three long ones. Each drawer has painted round knobs and a small keyhole set in a little oval plate. A scalloped edge runs along the bottom between the outswept feet, which gives the piece a light and graceful stance.

Solid mahogany sits under the paint, and the paint itself has a gentle, brushed finish with light rubbing on the edges and top. It's a good size for a bedroom, a guest room or a child's room. It's also handy in a hallway for keeping hats, gloves and dog leads tidy.
