Antique oil painting - farmer working

A farmer in a straw hat bends to work at the edge of a golden field, and a group of tall green trees stands off to the right. The sky is pale and soft with a hint of blue at the top. The paint is laid on thick, so you can see each brushstroke in the leaves and grass. A gold gilt frame with a narrow cream inner edge surrounds the scene.

The canvas has gentle cracks and a slightly faded surface. The frame has small rubs along its edges from moving between walls and homes over the decades. It's a lovely size for a gallery wall, and it would look just as sweet leaning on a kitchen shelf or propped on a bedside table.
