Antique oil painting of flowers

This vintage oil on canvas shows a cream vase overflowing with flowers that sprawl out in every direction. Soft pink tulips and tall spikes of pale blossom reach up high, while deep plum blooms droop over the sides and trail down toward the table. Feathery green stems fill the gaps and the whole bunch stands out against a cool blue-green background. The paint is laid on thickly, so you can feel the texture in every petal. It sits in a gold frame that has a raised scrolling pattern and a cream inner border.

The gold has rubbed back in places along the frame and the cream border has a few small marks. None of it takes away from the charm. It would bring softness and color to a bedroom or dining room, and it would look just as lovely leaning on a dresser.
