Antique pine drawers painted yellow

This antique pine chest of drawers has been painted a soft mustard yellow that feels warm and sunny without being too bright. Two short drawers sit over two long ones, and each drawer has a pair of round wooden knobs left in their natural brown. Little keyholes sit at the top of every drawer. It has a simple top with a gently rounded edge and stands on turned bun feet painted to match.

The paint has worn softly along the edges and around the drawers where they’ve been opened and closed over the years. It’s had a good life and shows it in the nicest way. It would brighten up a bedroom as a dresser and would look just as cheerful in a hallway or under a window in a kitchen.
