Chippy painted antique pine table

This little pine table is painted a faded mustard that has chipped away to bare brown wood across the legs and apron. The top is a deep, dark brown that contrasts with the paint below, and the surface has been freshly waxed. Four thick turned legs, each with a collar and a rounded swell near the foot, support a plain apron with a thin moulded edge along the bottom.

The paint has flaked and rubbed off in lots of places, giving the whole table a sun-faded, farmhouse look that only comes from decades of family dinners. The top has darkened and picked up marks along the way. At just under three feet wide it fits a small kitchen or breakfast nook, and it would also work as a desk or a work table in a studio.
