Dark stained antique pine larder cupboard

This tall, slim cupboard has a deep stain and a single four-panel door with a round brass knob. A narrow raised panel stands on each side of the door, and a stepped cornice and a plain base finish it off. The finish is dull in places and is darker at the edges.

Inside, four wide shelves run up the vertical board back, with a row of wooden pegs set between the shelves for hanging things. The wood has gentle scuffs and dark marks from time and wax, as you’d expect from a pantry that did years of daily work. It would hold dishes, linens or pantry goods in a kitchen, or work as a slim wardrobe in a bedroom or hallway.
