French glass display cupboard

This tall cupboard has two doors, each with three panes of glass over a raised wooden panel, under a deep stepped cornice. It’s the pale, natural color of white oak, with fine grain showing across the doors and sides. Inside, four wide shelves sit against a back of upright pine boards, and the whole piece rests on a moulded base with small round feet.

The wood has softened and rubbed in places, with knots in the back boards and the gentle marks of a well-loved past. The beautiful wavy glass doors make it ideal for dishes, glassware or books you’d like on show, and the shelves are generous enough to hold plenty. It would suit a dining room or kitchen as a display cabinet, or a living room that needs a tall bookcase.
