French wicker food cover

This French wicker food cover is shaped like a bell. On top is a small loop handle made from twisted wicker. Thick rows of wicker are woven over upright rods and widen toward a heavy coiled rim at the base. Inside, the weave starts from a neat little square at the very top.

Over time the wicker has softened into a mix of honey and gray tones, and the outside has a few scuffs and flecks of white from years of use. Set it over a loaf of bread or a cheese board at the table, or leave it out on a kitchen shelf where it can add a unique touch to any display.
