Incredible antique pine double wardrobe

This big pine wardrobe has a pale finish and two panelled doors under a deep, stepped cornice. Inside, a central upright splits the space into two hanging sections, each with its own rail and a row of small iron hooks along the back. Two wide drawers sit below the doors, each with a pair of dark turned wooden knobs, and the whole piece stands on a plain base.

The pine is light and soft in tone, with knots and swirls of grain across the doors and back boards, and a few scuffs and marks from a long working life. The dark knobs stand out nicely against the pale wood. It is generous enough to be a full bedroom wardrobe, and the drawers take care of folded clothes and linens.
