Low bank of 9 antique European drawers

This sideboard is long and low, and it has nine drawers set in three columns of three. Each drawer has a dark metal cup pull. A molded edge runs around the top, and the whole piece sits on a flat base close to the floor.

The wood has a warm, mottled tone with dark knots and patches. The drawer fronts and edges are rubbed and scuffed in a way that only comes with a long, hardworking past. Because it sits lower than most sideboards, it makes a great media console under a TV. It would also work well along the back of a sofa or in a bedroom as a wide dresser, with lots of room on top for lamps and books.
