Small antique pine nightstand or cupboard

This small antique pine cupboard has mellowed to a warm honey color that shows off the knots and grain. A single door opens on iron hinges, and its raised panel has a pretty wavy curve along the top. A faceted glass knob sits beside a small keyhole, which adds a sweet bit of sparkle against the wood. The top overhangs a little all the way around, and the whole thing sits on a deep, solid base.

The pine has knocks, scuffs and worn edges, especially around the base and the top. It has been well used and it looks all the better for it. It’s just the right height to sit beside a bed, and it would be handy in a bathroom too for tucking away towels and toiletries.
