Victorian pine dining table with dark finish
This Victorian pine table is long and slim and has a plank top that shows lovely open grain along its length. The top and frame have a dark finish, and small curved brackets sit where the frame meets each leg. It stands on four turned legs that end in small casters.
Over the years the finish has worn softer and lighter across the top, while the legs and frame stay deep and dark. There are marks and wear along the edges from years of meals and gatherings. At 100" long it seats a crowd, which makes it a wonderful table for a big dining room or an unfitted kitchen. It would work just as well as a long console behind a sofa or as a work table in a studio.
