Vintage oil on board

This vintage oil on board landscape follows a muddy country track as it winds toward you through meadow grass. The track is painted in soft lilac tones and there are little puddles picked out along the way. A line of tall dark trees stands on the right, while a misty blue-grey hill fades into the distance on the left. Above it all is a big grey-and-white sky with thick paint you can see every stroke of.

The board is unframed and has a few tiny tack holes and small paint chips around the edges. They're part of what makes it special. It's the kind of quiet scene that would sit happily on a bookshelf or bedside table, and it could hang just as well among other small landscapes.
